やっぱり注目すべきは部品メーカー？！

前々から自動車王国は部品メーカーに注目することをオススメしていますが、面白い2つの動画に出くわしました。フォードがベルギーで公開したのが、スマートホンでコントロールできる”自動駐車システム”の技術です。「フォードが開発」というキーワードが大々的に謳われていますけど・・・、コレってボッシュの技術に感じられてしょうがないんです（笑）。当たり前ですけど、車って何万の部品から成り立っていて、それを支えているのが部品メーカーです。自動車メーカーはプロデューサー的役割を担う面が多く、本当の技術革新が生まれるのは部品メーカーから、とは言い過ぎでしょうか？
モーターショーで新しい車を見たい気持ちは重々承知しています。でも、車の将来を知るには、部品メーカーのブースを訪れるのが一番です。東京モーターショー、ぜひ部品メーカーのブースも忘れずにチェックしてみてください！

In their quest towards autonomous driving, automakers are developing systems designed to make life easier for drivers, with automated parking systems getting attention not only from luxury car manufacturers but from volume automakers as well. Ford says they are developing a new automated parking technology that could enable drivers to park with only the push of a button from inside or outside of their car. Ford has demonstrated the technology to journalists for the first time this week at its proving grounds in Lommel, Belgium.
But as far as I can tell, this is a technolgy brought to life by Bosch… Does it look familiar? Automobile is made up of bits and pieces from suppliers and in many cases, suppliers are the ones who come up with clever inventions. That’s why I always reccoment people to go and see the displays of automobile suppliers rather than the actual cars which you will eventually see on magazines and tvs.
