クロアチア発のスーパーＥＶ？！

「クロアチア」と聞いてスーパーカーを思い浮かべる人はいないでしょう。でも、電気自動車は既存の内燃式エンジン車両よりも開発しやすいのか（？）誰にでも”可能性”をもたらしてくれるんでしょうねぇ。

RIMAC AUTOMOBILIという会社のコンセプトOne、先日モナコで公開されてかなりの注目を集めているようです。4つのインホイールモーターは、合計1088ps相当の最高出力、387.1kg-m（！！！）のトルクを叩き出すそうです。

0-60マイル（96km/h）加速は2.8秒、最高速度305km/hだそうです。充電が心配になるでしょうが、満タン充電で598㎞走行。1台98万ドルで88台の限定生産を見込んでいるそうです。

うーん、あまりに好条件過ぎて、最近流行りの「スーパーカー投資詐欺」ではないか、と疑ってしまうほどです。新参メーカーがこんなスーパー電気自動車が作れて、既存の自動車メーカーに出来ないってオカシイ、と思うのがフツーでは？98万ドルで88台って・・・、80億円程度で研究開発→部品調達→生産＝ある程度の利益が見込めるんですよね？ふーん。

現在、注文を受け付けていて来年からデリバリーだそうです。引き続き、注目してみます。

Croatia isn’t the first country that pops into my head when I think of supercars. The last vehicle I remember coming from that part of the world was the Yugo from nearby Serbia, but this looks like the real deal.
The Concept One from Rimac Automobili doesn’t just make the Tesla look slow, its performance figures should scare Ferrari and Lamborghini, too. The four electric motors (one per wheel) churn out a Veyron-topping total of 1,088 horsepower and 2,800 ft-lb torque. For comparison, the Tesla Roadster has 248 horsepower and 200 ft-lb of torque, while even the souped-up 1,184 horsepower Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has a mere 1,100 ft-lb of torque.
All of this translates into a fast but beatable top speed of 190 mph, but a truly insane zero-to-60 mph time of just 2.8 seconds. While all of that speed might make you think that the batteries would have a hard time taking you farther than the end of the driveway, the Concept One can actually manage 372 miles before you need to plug it in.
All of this performance does come at a price, though: $980,000. You could get about nine Teslas for the same money. Production will be limited too at just 88 cars to start, but the company has just started taking orders.
Deliveries start next year. What Rimac Automobili Claims is just too good to be true… We will keep close look on the progress.
