モンゴル大富豪がオーダーしたM・ベンツ

アメリカの自動車サイトCarscoopによると、M・ベンツが特注ゼトロスを納車したそうです。
納車先はモンゴル・ウランバートルで友達2人が、1台ずつ発注したものだそうです。
こういうプレス・リリースってどうやって手に入れるんでしょうねぇ・・・。
もとい。
そもそもゼトロスとはなんぞや、って思われる方が大半でしょう。
ゼトロスは2008年、パリの「ユーロサトリー（兵器見本市）」で発表された、
オールマイティ・トラックです。M・ベンツで多目的走行車といえばウニモグが有名ですが、
その兄貴分と捉えていいんじゃないでしょうか？M・ベンツのPR動画もタフさが全面に。

搭載するエンジンは7.2l直6ディーゼルで最高出力326ps、最大トルク1300Nmです！
トランスミッションは前進9速（8速＋クローラー）とダイレクト・レシオ・トップギアー（はて・・・？）、
もしくは6速ATが用意されているそうです。ゼトロスにはフロントに2輪、リアに4輪配され、
3つのメカニカル・デフロックを装備（4WDではなく6WD）。
架装次第で、どんな用途にも対応できるんです。
っで、モンゴル人セレブがオーダーしたのは、ハンティング用のキャンピング仕様車です。
全長10.7m、全幅2.7m、全高4.2mですから、大きな車両です。
2台のうち1台は、リアに4WDバギーを収容できるようになっているんですって・・・。

「アルタイ山脈に出かけ、鷲で狼をハンティングし数日間過ごせる空間」だそうです（笑）。
M・ベンツのプレスリリースによると、リアの居住スペースには高級ホテル並みの装備が
満載のようです。ベッドルーム、テレビ2台、4－6人が座れるソファ、ゴージャスなバスルーム、
キッチン、冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、グリル、バー、コーヒーマシン、極めつけは・・・
床暖房付き大理石が敷かれていることでしょうか（笑）。
水タンクは飲み水用と、シャワー／トイレ用で分かれています。
水冷式ディーゼル・ジェネレーターも完備していて、居住空間用電力もバッチリ。
ちなみに燃料タンクは300lと200lで、満タン時は500l・・・。
そりゃ、アルタイ山脈も行けますよねっ。
いやはや、どんな大金持ちが発注したのやら・・・。

This is photo of a custom-built Mercedes-Benz Zetoros 6×6 for two über-rich Mongolian
businessmen with a passion for hunting wolves. Two Zetoros were delivered recently.
“The two friends use their unique jumbo off-roaders for multi-day excursions into the
Altai mountains, for example, where they hunt for wolves with an eagle,” said
Mercedes-Benz in a press release.
The powertrain is of a 7.2-litre 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine developing an output
of 326 hp and maximum torque of 1300 Nm from 1,200 to 1,600 rpm.　There’s a choice
of two transmissions, either the standard unit nine-speed transmission　with eight
forward gears plus crawler and a direct-ratio top gear… whatever the hell that is…, or
an optional six-speed automatic transmission. The Zetros is equipped with three
mechanical differential locks (meaning all six wheels are driven).
From there on, the Mongolian buyers customized the two trucks according to their
own specifications.
The front cab’s features include a padded sleeping berth for the driver, an air
conditioning system, a 24 V audio system with CD player, a CD changer, a Bluetooth
hands-free system and a 7-inch touchscreen to which a reversing camera is connected.
Both trucks are also fitted with two fuel tanks holding 300 and 200 litres.
It is such a pity that there’s no photo of the interior. But from what we read from
Mercedes’ press release makes the living area sound more like a luxurious hotel room
than a truck cabin. The interior is said to include a bedroom with two flatscreen TVs
a seating group for four to six people is in the front, and a lavish bathroom with a
marble floor and underfloor heating, as well as a large galley equipped with a
ceramic hob, microwave with grill, refrigerator/freezer, bar and coffee machine.
Other highlights include the separate water systems that supply drinking water and
water for the shower/toilet, with a total volume of around 250 litres, and a
water-cooled diesel generator for electricity.
